Going into the past

The date was January 15th, 2007. It was finally the day that the 2 Skaha Lake Middle School boys teams would face off in a basketball game in front of the whole school. My head was pounding with the sound of my heart beat. It was so nerve wracking. Both teams wanted so badly to win in front of their home school. I was on the starting line up, along with four of my teammates. Both teams were almost equal in talent. The points were so close throughout the entire game. It was now the fourth quarter with thirty seconds left in the quarter. The whole crowd roared with excitement. They all wanted their friends to win. The score was 30-32 for the other team. Brandyn Olfert from the other team got the rebound and bolted down the court. I quickly ran after him in fear that he would score making it a definite win for their team. He went up for a lay up and i smacked the ball away from him, causing a foul. Both teams lined up around the key while Brandyn mad his shots. I grabbed the rebound and threw it down the court with seconds left in the game. SWOOSH! 33-32 for my team. We won the game infront of the whole school!
