Ann Coulter- Free speech.

Ann Coulter, is an American conservative social and political commentator, an author, and a syndicated columnist. She writes novels, writes a column for the paper and speaks to different crowds around the U.S.A and now just recently in Canada. Ann is the type of person that is not afraid to say what she is thinking.
However her way of speaking to people has got her in some trouble recently. Last Tuesday she spoke at the University of Western Ontario. During her speech she made a comment about how Muslim people should not be allowed to fly on planes due to the 9 11 incident. A Muslim girl then came up to the microphone and asked Ann Coulter how she should travel without a plane. Ann replied by telling the girl to take her "magic carpet" or take her "camel". All she was doing was stating her opinion and meant nothing towards anybody. This comment, along with other comments towards gay people and the Liberals, became a huge problem with the Canadian Freedom of Speech law. Every body's opinion to what should happen to Ann is different. Some say she should be put in prison for these rude and uncalled for statements. Others say that she should just be left alone and nothing should be done. However, Ann Coulter is an American citizen and the American Laws about Freedom of Speech are different than the Canadian Laws. The United States Bill of Rights states that people are able to say what they want and not have people disagree and go against her like they have been doing with this University incident. So since she is an American citizen and not a Canadian citizen, she should be treated like every other American citizen would be treated in this type of situation.

But she's on Canadian soil... don't our laws apply. Develop your opinion a bit further.

Pretty good detail for each blog. Mechanics are fairly strong - make sure you use your spell check.

    Missing one assignment.
